This open mixing mill operates intermittently to process plastic materials. The machine features two horizontal rollers with adjustable spacing, designed to produce uniform, plasticized blends of raw compounds for calendering processes. When processing rubber, the rollers apply opposing shear and extrusion forces, enabling both physical blending and chemical chain scission through successive mixing cycles to ensure even distribution of all ingredients.
